I am getting FPS of 3 to 4 in built up areas and its like a slide show.
Specs on my PC are 3.06Ghz 1 gig ram X800XL ATI card but something is sure hindering it???
I get 30 + FPS in FS9 so any ideas anyone?
I’ve got it Techy, busy try all the training missions at the moment. It runs sweet here and with TrackIR working as well

Hi, I have Fs9 installed ,medium/high setting… 20-25 fps, Amd 2600+ (overclocked 2800+), 1 giga Ram, old geforce 4ti.
I have installed Fsx today, minimum graphic setting , UNPLAYABLE. 
I think FSX is good on newest PC, but reading in many forums have problems too…

After many a night tinkering i now have FSX running to acceptable levels so here are a few tweaks you MUST try OK?
Its in PDF format so save a copy to your PC ok.

Ive read somewhere that FSX needs Dx10 to be run optimal.
Yes you are right Paf but DX10 is not out until Windows Vista next year and for the perfect optimal settings you will need a DX10 compliant card.
FSX can be made to run good now :o

I’ll try and tell you , but I’m sure my Geforce 4ti 4200 128 mb (it was a good Graphic Card but 3 years ago…) is slow… (in FS is very important the cpu too). I’ll looking for a new card but i have an agp 8x slot…end the new standard is pci exp. May be a geforce 6800 gt ?

Ok Techy, I have read the Pdf doc . Now FSX “runs” with 15-20 fps average…. not bad … there are some bugs (example Italy seems a pre-desertic area … LOL) but I begin to appreciate this simulator … with a more powerful Hardware it 'll be a very incredible civilian sim… thx a lot
