ok, finally Im getting the hang of starting the Tiger Moth engine…after 30 or more tests :rolleyes:

It´s all in the throttle. Open it just a bit, in my case the minimum Im able to. Start the engine. Wait a few secs and play with it when you see the rpm are decreasing, but move the throttle just a bit.

So “nursing” the throttle seems to be the trick here.

Before I owned a motorcycle I had a very old moped with a lot of less legal engine parts :rolleyes:
The engine had a lot of temper and had to be handled like a hot lady in order to get started :smiley:
I had to very careful with both the mixture and throtte and the kickstarter had to kranked correctly to start. But when she came alive, she had lot of Spirit. Unfortunately the local police took a dislike to her, so they took the less legal parts and I got a fine :frowning: That was the day before I got my Motorbike :frowning:

I did the training mission in the Moth, flying through the rings. After completing it the instructor said “I will take over and land”, the plane turned slightly to the left and he had control and dived it straight into the ground :eek:

With the mix down like in that video I can’t start it, I use almost max mixture, and then slowly play with it and the throttle, listening carefully to the engine…

Now imagine a SEOW mission, you are the first in the line, everyone waiting for you to take off, and…:slight_smile:

Same here Splash! lol I thought I caused him to flip over and crash by going F3 to watch him land. The guilt aaagh - ta mate, phew it’s Oleg’s fault then :slight_smile:

I’ve got trim keymapped and working in a Spitfire, is there trim on the Moth?
