F16 crashed after take off during NATO flight training

Even 2 AMX from 51st Stormo were there and 5 AV8 Harrier from the Italian Navy.

The F16 had a flame out immediatly after rotation and the plane went to the ground exactly over the other planes were parked (30 planes) alive and waiting for taxi crearance.

11 dead (two pilots and 9 french aircrew men) and 20 injured (9 italian crew men from 51st, two badly injured).

Sad to hear. Let’s hope the ones injured will recover and survive, and may those that did not, rest in peace.

If you look at the pics aroung internet…it’s terrific…there were planes all around taxiing and full ready for the mission…worst scenario in an airbase.
