The plane had left engine damage soon after take off. Elevator was damaged as well, and the pilot couldn’t make it gain height.
Instead of ejecting and saving their lives they tried to land. I was feeling the same thing as in IL2 when you have elevator cable severed and try to land, but this time knowing it was for real and also knowing the fatal ending.
It’s absolutely unbelievable why nobody, for 18 minutes, nobody thought about ejecting.
Apparently the engine exceeded in 600 hours the maximum allowed time for the GE turbines.

poor guys… seeing men losing their lives when they’re still young make me feel so sad… seeing what they were seeing before all their dreams were turning into ash…
