Way back in the late 70s dancing all night long…with the ladies…loved this track… lol
Never heard it before, that I can remember at least. Then again, all dancing I did in the 70’s was probably at school or pre-school, and when I think about it, I can’t remember having danced until second grade and then we are talking early 80’s instead. :bootyshk:
70s Disco Fever Mikke!!
Never knew that U Tube would be so good with Music Video Clips.
Wow James Brown!!
that man can dance and the band plays fantastic music:
Olympia 1966
James Brown & his bands music is just great, don’t get me wrong, but this parody by Eddie Murphy is great as well !!
LOL. I know this music, but its still a bit before my time (well i was too young and my dad was somewhat anti-pop). I was never really a fan, but it
s ok, I guess.
One of the few songs I remember from my first non-school disco (though still in school, around 10 years old): Madness - Our house Still good music!
Another one, that probably isn’t quite as familiar to most of you: Magnus Uggla - IQ As that song came out in -83, the dance I remember them from must have been that year, I can’t remember much from it except these two songs, and that it was during the winter. :roflmao:
I like that James Brown a lot better then the first video you posted Hiaw. Really catchy!
Amazing what you can get on Youtube, ta for the heads up Hiaw.
I don’t remember ‘Brick’, but have some vague memories of going disco crazy at a school disco in 1979 to the ‘Buggles’
joe ,saddo
Mikke I remember “Our House” of course … but my wavelength was more “Brick House” by the Commodores a bit earlier.
Sure, I remember that song Joe…
Rgr that Alan!
Peace my Dad was anti popmusic as well, but my sister heard it alot of course, she was 41/2 years older…
I remember they played a lot of punk on the radio, on some late evening show, when I was young (read a wee lad). My parents didn’t really appreciate it, so I usually didn’t get to hear so much of it. I wasn’t too found of most of it at the time, and a lot was probably pure crap anyway, but some of it was kind of catchy. I did take me some 10+ years before I actually listened to a lot of it.
When I was a bit older, THIS was what where really scary and the morale police got fits over. There’s a very funny/sad Swedish TV-show from the time where WASP was painted as the sure downfall of western civilization. I remember thinking at the time that it was pretty awful, but still a bit luring. Just a couple of months later a buddy got the record, and we all got lured into the dark side. :roflmao: Here’sanother version of the same song, might be more in Hiawathas taste?
Haha… In my younger days I used to do security for those guys… and the Clash!
kudos trooper
Love it Hiaw, course this type of soul music and Disco are played often here in the South. Im a real big fan of Ol Motown gotta love that real old Little Stevie Wonder. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxs2nRekH2w now thats talent!

Ha ha Mikke, so you must be as old as me a mere 40:D Ozzy Ozborn, AC/DC that was the music I grew up with.:roflmao: Now I must say I think my musical taste has been Lets say,… Refined:D
Thx for that 1 Os, its wonderful.
Not quite, I was 11, going on 12, at the time.
And I do kind of like some of WASPs songs, though their scene show is mostly laughable (SP?) when you see it nowdays, as is some of the contemporary videos. I’ve never been a fan of Ozzy or Sabbath (before my time), AC/DC does have some good ones, though I wouldn’t like to be stuck with only their music for the rest of my life. “My” music is really Metallica, from the year I became 14, and for the 20 years that have followed (ouch, it’s almost 21 years really :o).
And now the young ones feels even younger (imagine, we have those among us that wasn’t even born in the 80’s)! :roflmao:
LOL I keep editing. My only Stevie Wonder memory is “I just called to say I love you”, repeated so much that I still get a slight gag reflex when I hear it, even though it’s really not THAT bad (80’s synths and all)…
One of my jobs was to have Angus from AC/DC on my shoulders and carry him into the crowd while he was giving it max on his guitar!:D…Those were happy and wild days I can tell you… Also looked after Van Halen, Pink Floyd and many others!
Sweet Job Trooper, sounds like some Party Animal stuff ahh…The good ol days:D

I feel your Pain Mikke, thats why I like the real old Little Stevie Wonder;). I was about 15 when AC/DC hit it big with Back in Black but the old stuff was really good with Bon Scott http://youtube.com/watch?v=6AtYkJ_eyHU Gota love the lip sinc.
Here’s a classic Michael, before he turned into a rich old white lady :roflmao:

You were pretty close to the celebrities then Trooper. Cool.
Hardrockwise i remember that I liked Black Sabbath way back then…
