I am usually very sceptic, but I must say that it look very promesing
Nice Beau!
I like this runway-textures:
I am quite fond of enviromets that look ‘real’. Not new. That runway look real nice
Anyone working on giving us a Sea Hurricane?
Think its being looked at, just getting the correct hook configuration
Thanks to PAF.
The first beta edition of The Battle of France map is out. Still a lot of work to be done. Only the south-east and south is populated. Phase 2 and 3 are for the rest: Netherlands and northern Belgium and the Coastal areas.

Looking from a plane to hilltops at larger distances I don’t see textures but white spaces. I know that there is a texture map for larger distances ( MapF) . Don’t know whether this layer is finished.
It’s still got a long way to go this one. Flew a recce on the Hurri from Luxembourg to Dunkirk via Ostende (Ostende is very disapointing on the map as is Luxembourg, but hey, it’s not FSX is it). Finally tried to land it on an English airfield only to find that the runway has a forest on it. Obviously that’ll be fixed in version 3 release.
You need to be patient.
Part 1 of the Battle of France map, which has been released as a Beta, is reasonably complete across the area Cambrai to Luxembourg and Laon to Nivelles, an area 235 x 118km. My thought was that this was worth releasing in advance since it offers a fair bit of mission building potential. This covers the main area of action in the Ardennes/R Meuse part between 10th and 16th May.
Outside of this area, including Ostende and all of England the map still needs a lot of work to complete. The focus is now on Part 2 which includes Eban Emael, Rotterdam and west to Brugge. This will enlarge the map to 270x235km.
Part 3 is the Channel Ports and England, following the chronological logic, making the total area 400x270km.
Since the initial beta release a new map_F file has been issued which fixes the lack of distant view in “Excellent” mode. This was not an issue for “Perfect” users.
Battle of France map… My thought was that this was worth releasing in advance since it offers a fair bit of mission building potential.
Thanks Ash!
Chris is our AAA liaison officer he’ll probably be able to tell us how to blag the map
Rotterdam wow
Ming
Hi Ash, welcome.
I can´t imagine how many hours you have spent doing the map…but I´d like to know
Thanks
One for the Bomber Boys, Mosquito XVI with 4000lb ‘Cookie’, or 6x500lb bombs or differant coloured marker flares
A 4000lb dustbin, nice addition to the payload. a
I wonder how often the used them…
But it still a shame that the bomber version of the Mosquito where not made by Oleg’s folkes, but I understand his priorities
I wonder how often the used them…
You mean a 4000lb “cookie”? Extensively.
During the night bombing raids Mosquito’s were used as Pathfinder a/c on night missions as well as backup bombers to keep the intensity of the attack in approximately the same place to prevent creep back (caused by loads being dropped early).
I am impressed. The only info I could find out where how they where made and by who (Barnes Wallis ofcourse  ). Thx Keets!
