When did you last stick an airfix boulton paul defiant together? I was overcome with nostalgia the other day and bought one for less than a fiver. Can’t wait to get glue all over the canopy and my fingers.

Quite peculiar, that long before the European Community became a reality, so many young people all over Europe got fond of the same airplane…

They accomodated us Itie students in families sharing the same interests…guess what? My host was a former RAF Senior Sergeant (big RAF tattoo on right forearm!). They had a big playing room in the penthouse, with a big table full of Airfix models…boy, how I used to enjoy myself, that summer!!!
