On my last weekend of freedom I have been putting the Su-25T through it’s paces. If you want something rugged, agile and able to carry a heavy load to take out any ground targets you can think of then you can not go far wrong with the Su-25.
The T version of the aircraft comes free with the DCS World download. It is often overlooked, but it has a detailed full 6DOF cockpit with relatively simple Russian systems. They take a little bit of practice but after that you can find and knock out tanks in no-time at all. It uses the same system and missiles as the Ka-50 Blackshark, as well as laser guided missiles, TV guided missiles, load of rockets, bombs and air to air missiles for short range defence. It also has a comprehensive ECM suite with IR and RADAR jamming, as well as the usual chaff and flares.
