Starting the 20th of June, we will offer massive 60% off sale of DCS products. The exception will be Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3 having a 40% off sale. The sale will last until the 30th of June:
Nice Splash, thanks. What am I saying, I don’t get time enough to play A10!!! Aaaagh. I can’t resist getting the Huey and will probably end up with the P-51 as well.
Been away too long as well due to work and relationship issues - life sucks sometimes.
Am trying to buy the Huey but every time I go to the cart to pay for it the page displays “To purchase the products, please, enter your login and password (the fields on the left).” despite the fact I’m already logged in. Anyone else having similar issues?
Wish I could get on for some online training tonight. Just spent a couple of hours doing starts and lifting to the hover. ‘All over the shop’ is a very mild description!
Was having a blast with the Huey last night, came upon a convoy of Trucks and Arty, plum done tore them up with my Mini Gun and Rockets and they didn’t even get a shot back, then I ended the mission to find out they were Friendlies:o.
I was messing about yesterday getting my joystick curves set up. I had the rotors running and gave the stick a good wiggle back and forth and tested the force trim button (anyone know how that’s supposed to work?), next thing there’s a big bang. I look up through the roof perspex and I see my rotor blades disappearing up into the blue. My initial thought was that it was a bit unrealistic but then I remembered reading about an accident in the states recently where a similar thing happened for real.
Misc Control Panel → FORCE TRIM Switch: ON
Additional Information: The Force Trim ON/OFF Switch turns the force trim system on or off. The system has two functions:
• It provides artificial feel into the systems by incorporating a magnetic brake and force gradient in the cyclic and directional control systems. Force centering devices are incorporated in the cyclic controls and directional pedal controls. These devices are installed between the cyclic stick and the hydraulic servo cylinders, and between the anti-torque pedals and the hydraulic servo cylinder.
• It provides a means to trim the controls by neutralizing the forces on the controls at a particular point in their travel. Depressing the cyclic stick force trim switch will cause the magnetic brake and force gradient to be repositioned to correspond to the positions of the cyclic stick and pedals thus providing trim.
I can now lift to the hover but then start drifting all over the place. Transition to flight is ok followed by a circuit but coming to a full stop in a low hover is just sooooooo difficult. The guys I sit next to on a regular basis make it look so easy. But then again, they’ve all got 5000hrs+ experience.
