DCS Harrier

So, we have the Spitfire as a standard WW2 aircraft in DCS, I was hoping we might be able to agree on something like the Harrier being a standard modern aircraft - if we are going to look in that direction? It’s due out at some point this year, it’ll be tough to master, but it has a targeting pod, Anti-radiation missions (for taking out radar sites), LGBs, Mavericks, the lot…and it’s vertical take off and landing! I would imagine Cappe will like trying to master a display routine in it!

I’m guessing that an alternative would be the Viggen!

Wish we hade the Mirage III and a Falklands map. Now that would be cool.

Mirage III is coming too, but this is the wrong Harrier for a Falklands recreation - it’s the US equivalent of the RAF’s GR.7/9, so a bit too modern for the 1980’s…I’d love a Sea Harrier FA2 though- AMRAAMs!

I watched a doc on the F35 Lightning last week.

The RAF pilot who flew it in the hover said it was a lot more manageable than his Harrier was.

He likened hovering the Harrier as “trying to sit on a geyser”. Good luck lads
