Unzip it in a separate folder, read the text file “read_this_first.txt” so no unwanted things happens.
A couple of files needs to be backed up in order to be able to revert back to the original 1946 if it wont work as expected.
Problems might occur if your 1946 aint a clean install but just follow the instructions in “read_this_first.txt” and you will be able to revert back to the standard Sturmovik 1946.
When you hear the sound I dont think you will regret the install.
Also, in conf.ini under [NET] add/change the cheat-check. Info about that is in a text-file in the 4.08m patch.
This is what is says, shortly:
Under [NET] add/change checkRuntime=1 (or 2 for a more thorough check).
It is just a cheat-check so cheaters with modified planes should get a timeout.
I guess it aint much of a check since I beleve it just checks bytes of different files/folders. Still, its the best Oleg gave us.
