Clickable cockpits in a combat sim is a nightmare… Tried it in WoV… it does’nt work.
in real life you need split seconds to grab that knob or lever, with a clickable cockpit, you have to be so precise with the cursor to get it to operate a flap lever or prop control it takes unrealisticly too long unfortunately…
They would still be backed up by mappable buttons, really adds to the immersion on start up and shut down though
Clickable ejection, could you imagine that All whilst spinning out of control! lol

Compared to Falcon4 AF, IL2 planes are tinkertoys
Fuel tank management, now you’re talking hehe The thing about clickable cockpits is that you aren’t forced to use it, so those that will enjoy it can, those who like their buttons can use those too
Falcon4 was ace, used to have the full start up routine down. This made up for my inability to kill anything as the sense of satisfaction when the engine actually fires up after 3 or 4 minutes of clicking stuff was immense
Has there ever been an alternative in the sense of a cheap USB switchboard. Most flightsim cockpit hardware is pretty expensive.
The Logitech G15 has (3 banks of 6 keys, G1-G18) and M1-M3 memory bank settings, I think that’s 54 switches?
But I have trouble setting the keyboard for TS whispers even 
(TS-side problem maybe rather than a keyboard-keymaps problem)
