got a set of these today on evil bay , the only thing is they are game port ones , so i ordered a gameport to usb cable as well , i’m hoping i’m good to go now 
, has anyone had any issues with this set-up ?

I use the game port version plugged into a gameport though. I’m not sure how well they’ll work via a USB convertor. Depending on the CPU and motherboard you’re running (I take it hasn’t a gameport) I’d have got a cheap sound card with gameport and run it off that.
Mine works well with a MSFFB2 and Saitek X45. 
I’ve got the USB version, they take precedence over the X45 stick in the il2 controller menu, so you have to manually edit the conf.ini file if you want to change your stick settings.

the pedals arived today ,put in the cd and plugged the buggers into the gameport/ usb cable and it worked straight away that makes a bloody change for me so all ready for tonight

true mikke , i had a set of home made pedals but i didnt have any room for them in the bedroom (where the puter is) 
so i used the rocker switch on the x45 but it just didnt feel the same , so now i have to get used to it all over again , i’d like to apologise to techy for messing up his training session and to the 602 squadron for the same thing ,

Gonna have to get me some pedals myself at some point - I’m using the twist stick on the X-52 - it can be bit difficult to co-ordinate sometimes (or at least that’s my excuse…)

I’m guessing because you are using a gamport-usb convertor you probably haven’t got the gameport drivers. With the drivers come a tweaking utility where you can adjust the input response.
If you haven’t got a gameport, the best way to connect gameport devices is via a cheap soundcard. I have an old PCI soundblaster in reserve for the day that I haven’t got a gameport on my M/B.
Probably would be cheaper than a USB convertor and allow you to load the CH drivers and tweaking utility.
you may have hit the nail on the head brigstock , wiating on the guy who built my puter to phone me to see if he has one lying about or if he knows a way round this problem
well i finally got the pedals up and running it was the switch on the usb connector that was giving me hassle ,managed to get the pedals calibrated in windows and all is good:) now for some practice
With new PC I lost old settings.
Same problem here. What lines and how to change? PH Produckts pedals override X52, too:(
