Does all run well with ATI cards…was going to buy the Radeon 5770 and was wanting a little advice…any issues found with ATI cards and games in general???
With a 4890 you get purple disco lights under the wings when guns are fired in Il2.
Also the new 9.11 drivers have an issue where all the text is corrupt.
I had a break from Nvidia with this card, and the quality of graphics and speed are worth the money (only paid 150 for it).
Its a nice quiet card and runs cool, which is fortunate because when the fan is at 100% it makes a noise like a chinook and nearly sucks the carpet up.
a lot of performance for the money, but I think driver wise the new Nvidias might be a better bet
I must say though IL2 maxed out does run very nice when youve tweaked the settings
I just put in a ATI Radeon 4870 and cant believe what it did for my performance and FPS, I would research this one too I bought it for $100.00 US. 
Ok…managed to grab a bargin and Im sticking with Nvidia…I got a Palit Sonic GTX260 Oc with 1792mb onboard memory for a mere £165!!! Now…looking forward to getting it installed. And If anyone is looking for a card, I’ll be selling the 9800GTX+ OC i have installed at the moment…and Im sure I can negotiate a good deal

I have the Palit card OC’ed to 285 spec, awesome bit of kit even if I say so myself
