WWII Online!!!

totally hooked here, fantastic WWII action

The BiA shots look fantastic. My only reservation is that a lot of talk on the forums (presumably X-Box version or whatever) is about “how quick I finished the game”. I like sims that are relatively open, not story based. Hope it isn’t going to be too constrained.

WW2 Online with BiA graphics would be nice

Of course, if only this was multiplayer…

:roflmao:

hahaha, oh my kingdom for a lego X-wing fighter

From what I’ve seen so far, it’s very storybound, it seems like it’s a case of “play it through once, then forget”, but I migh be wrong.
Not to impressed with some other factors in the game either, shooting is harder then it is IRL (for me at least).

I am a good shot in real life Mikke like most of the EAF, it’s annoying yes and possibly fatal

Try the demo first chaps

I still want to play it more though - and I hear that the first few missions aren’t so good but it gets better later

Wanting to play it more is a good sign. When it’s raining in real life or for simply a change of pace. Normandy is very nice but the weapons- it’s not so easy to hit the target. In reality when you can see the head and it’s centred in your sight you can hit it - like in Americas Army for example. The (nice) puffs of dust show where the rounds are hitting and I am unable to hold the gun steady apparently. Or if the rifle is steady the rounds miss the spot. From 30m

I purposely aimed slightly right of a target to check the barrel was ok after diving into a river - and hit the target. That’s a bit worrying

You chaps who like deathmatch in a small area will like this I think. I was hoping for a much larger map, it’s very limited and missions are very VERY linear…

Unpatched right now though

Well, I will not claim that I’m a very good shot, but as I shoot at least weekly I have a pretty good idea of what I can and can’t do, and as you say, and making headshots at 30m at a stationary target with a rifle is something I can say I can do reliably almost 100% of the time. :sniper:

Just been having ago at the lastest demo for the updated version, Earned in Blood. Not played BIA before and I was hooked once I started the using the simple commands, out flanking the fix enemy was very refreshing after the usual Rambo take on the world roles.

Noticed the older BIA was 17 quid at Play.com and wondered if any of you lot had any other tips on it. BF2 looks the part, but right now I quite like the small close in maps, can you still do the same type of commands in it?

With a weapon that is zeroed to your position and hold…and, you are aware of your correct point of aim when firing from alternate positions. Also you know and apply the four marksmanship principles.
Then… You know how to correct and allow for wind, and how to aim off when you miss the target but can observe strike…Followed by miss drills when fall of shot cannot be observed.
Taking into account of course that heart rate and adrenalin will be maxed out when someone is returning fire accurately onto your position…therefore making it far harder to return an equally accurate shot…

lol…

Regards…Dave.

Problem with BIA is that you shoot like crap no matter what, you can be in a perfect position, not beeing shot at etc, and still miss something you (uh, well I) would have no problems hitting at twice the distance…

…with a pistol.
