Hi Charlie,
i want to say i’m playing the campaign and i found it entartaining.
It all feels a bit rushed to me, kind of like the CoD release… Chuck it out the door, the publisher/investors want paying and fix it “in life”.
I hope it does well, I’ve not played it since the summer when Splash and I had go, but it didn’t feel like a polished product. Granted IL2 was far from what it ended up when it went gold, but at least it felt like some thought to the consumer went in to the release.
The other point is lack of excitement. I remember when il2 launched, the community was buzzing. This feels like the launch has crept out the back door whilst we’re all looking the other way.

In the future - if game are a commercial success - a new ME (Mission Editor) will be available.
Actually MP is basically 4 official servers - Air Quake style with two difficulty modes.
And some from 3rd party - one, the Syndicate run a “Moving Dogfight” style mission.
No,wonder the community isn’t excited.

Early days and there is some real potential, I even enjoyed ground pounding in the Il2 with her. I’ve not flown BoS for a while now, but it appears all the unlocked have caused some real problems with the popular online server.
I’m enjoying flying Cliffs more and with an online campaign at last, I’m happy. Just hope more of us take it (back) up and especially with the promise of a new map around the corner.
I’ve sold my sole to Stalin in exchange for an IL2 and an abundance of snow and Jerry tanks Skipper.
Cliffs is a no go for me now. I’ve got the PC to handle it and its fully TF patched but unfortunately it still stutters like crap.A problem I do not get in BoS.

Cliff is my primary sim right now but i have Bos so we can try it one night!

I need to reconfigure a lot of controls for Cliffs as I have gotten used to the controls I need in BoS ( in BoS I need both thumbs for pilot head movements ), and I could certainly do with you getting in your La or Yak and keep those pesky Fw’s in BoS off my 6! My rear gunner is very tired already. I use the SYN and LD Expert servers in BoS. Both run quite smooth with SYN slightly edging it (In LD server I get roughly a 2 sec delay when opening the map,in the SYN server it opens instantly)

How are people finding BoS online? I liked the Syndicate RoF server, does it work well for Stalingrad?
The Syndicate server for BoS works fine Marsh. I fly it nearly all of the time. The only criticism I can find is that it is the same map/objectives all the time or maybe I’ve been unlucky and there are other maps/missions in use.
I have had no issues when the server has been full (75 players at the mo) regarding lag etc. The only issue is having to wait to get in sometimes.
