BoBII wings of victory release 26th august

I didn’t think games developers and what not were allowed to use it though?

I think its only Germany were the use is banned, just as its a worldwide market its usually removed to keep them from having a seperate version for Germany.

Looking at those last pictures Swoop posted, the aircraft models look very flat, the gaps between flaps, elevators an rudders etc seems painted in rather than modelled in 3D.

Did you watch the vid? The bit where he leans out the cockpit and looks down the runway, then just as he leans back in. It was pure VR for me.

Flying Corp from Rowan was the best flying sim I’d ever flown and still have fond memories of it now, never got BoB because of all the bugs I heard about and it broke Rowan. A real shame IMO, I love the idea that a group of people who loved something so much pick it up from the gutter and brought it to life again, so I’m supporting that as well.

I’m Spitfire mad too, brings tears to my eyes just seeing and hearing one, god knowns why

New movie out gents, a lot more going on in this one ~

New BoB2 movie

Play it LOUD!!

I hear you on Flying Corps Swoop… Reinstalled it a few weeks ago. In many respects it was better than Red Baron, of course in others it was worse  I loved the way you could set up flight formations and tactics during the mission briefing.

Yes the sound is awesome!

I’m not too worried about BoB:WOV’s lack of multiplayer. If it had, I would have no reason to play IL2 anymore

hehe, Oleg is unusually vocal over at Ubi just now.

Trying to explain the differences of upcoming Ubi BoB over BoB WoV!

He even posted a video of the Spit I cockpit, and I have to say, he really is going for detail. But I guess we expected that, as that is what got good ol’ IL2 it’s place in the market against the big boys!

For me FC was a big disappointment, I never got it to run as I’d like it to, and never got any real feeling for it.
I have also flown MigAlley a bit, and while I really liked some parts of it, it could never compete with EAW and F4 for me, despite beeing set in an interesting timeframe. And BoB I never bothered with.
But those big formations of planes does look way nice for sure.

There a bit in the movie, when he’s down low dogfighting with a 109, not sure if it’s his engine or the 109s, but the pitch picks to a gently scream as he noses the Hurri down and into the turn and the 109 flashes underneath him. Right then my hairs at the back of neck stood up

Might just have to watch again  No offence to Scott, or whoever is flying, but I’m sure we could a lot better in her

Does anyone received yet WoV?
I was thinking to purchase it to, but hesitating now, because i read many complains of crashes to desktop. Also the lack of the promised manual etc. doubts me to buy it.

what codec is that using Joe?

can’t get it to play

Try this, Insight  Essential addition for the utilities toolbox.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow

*insight downloads, installs and wonders what to do with it

:expressionless:

This download will play it:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Codec_Pack_All_in_1.htm

Take all the default settings except the audio codecs, select all the audio codecs.

(I can hear PeeGee now, screaming something about nasty little spyware thingies)

Hehe, I was keeping quiet to avoid admitting Insight had me stumped. Sneaked off on holiday for a week and hoped someone else would post a reply.

So long since I installed ffdshow that I honestly can’t remember - it has millions of parameters you can configure, but I think basically you just install it. Once the codecs are installed - and it supports a whole heap of formats - I think tha’s it, unless you are into serious tweaking. I can’t remember having to do anything else.

Joe, I don’t know how much your agent charges to get you out of bed these days, but when hollywood can spare you I’d appreciate your input regarding training material - and have you still got the Norton Bombsight video?
