Thats part of the fun of a high fidelity sim like this one.
Cassa, I 've got an idea. You study half he manual and I study the other half Then we fly together

eheh thats a good optionā¦, they should make a double seat chopter ehehe
S!
Iāve jumped in now for something different and loving the challenge.
The manual startup is something else and I can do it (ok, it takes 5 mins with checklist ) and I can now hover without too much difficulty. Iām currently working on familiarising myself with the autopilot, trimmer and Shkval.
I canāt manage without the controls indicator its invaluable for trimming and think Iād struggle to hover and trim the aircraft properly without it. Kind of like visual force feedback.
The ABRIS looks like itāll take ages to work out so Iām happy flying round the training airfield blowing up the fire engines.
I have started flying the āDeploymentā campaign. Easy to start with, and nicely doneā¦you can hear the firefight sounds when the mudmovers call you for help on the radio
And I havent mastered the ABRIS yet. I dont think its really necessary to know every thing it can do. IMO the data link is more useful, because you can send your AI in recce ahead and give them targets. And they appear in your ABRIS.
Enjoying it a lot.
Flying today I thought it looked familiarā¦
Novorossyk has changed a bit since the 1940ās.
Managed to pick this game up the other day for under a Fiver just installed it and plan to work on learning to fly this bird.
Hopefully sometime this year i will be ready for some online action with it.
Hi Meako
I have had BS since the release and I havent had the time to get proficient in BS. If you need someone to train with send me a PM.
I have yet to get proficiant in takeoff, weaponsystems, or navigation systems, but I am pretty good at prepping the bird and get the engines started.
In my mind, Falcon was easierā¦or was it :rolleye:
Hi Meako, Iām a bit rusty and need to get this back in the air, so if you fancy having a crack online Iām game.
The in game tutorials are really good and well worth going through/following.
Thereās a checklist from the Leading Edge tutorial guys which you can download which helps with the manual startup - I think its linked in this thread already - here if it isnāt.
The key with flying it is remembering that when youāve moved the stick, you need to trim all the time, its how the Ka-50 is flown in RL. Iāve got the trim on the pinky trigger on my X45, which helps.
working my way thru the tutorials, have downloaded several checklists, still have not decided which i like the most. Can start and shutdown the bird now, and have sussed the trim. Not yet advanced onto weaponry or nav systems.
Really looking forward to some online time with this when i have progressed a little further. Very tempted to buy a printed version of the game manual, as i find reading large .pdf files a pain.
