I’m not usually a stats minder but this promotion stuff in BF2 is cool be honest. You get promoted in the game with a fanfare and an announcement, bit like EAW immersion in your career - very nice. Plus now I’m noticing that players have their rank as part of their friendly icon so I know who to follow if squad leader is being an idiot dropping water-bombs on those flocks of wood pigeon “Well what’s he doing now?” “Is that the Times crossword he’s doing…”

Now playing as Private First Class and well on my way to Lance-Corporal lol these Americans :slight_smile:

Passed basic (on-the-job) training helicopter and assault class er, materials handling

Get in a two-man team as gunner or pilot in that two-seater with another guy who knows what he’s doing, very cool and amazing visuals - two helicopters in close combat up high above the battlefield. Quite an experience. I can’t see much wrong with it as a not-too-serious flight sim for helicopter crew action
