Ok, ran the test again from the server, this time sitting by it, so no virtual desktop stealing bandwith.

Pretty good connection to have a server on I guess. 
Another, not quite as funny thing is that the PSU on my other computer that I had planned to migrate the server to is dead. Will go look for a new one tomorrow. Might buy one that is bigger then needed for that computer in case I decide to make a bigger upgrade sometime in the future…
Well, my old flying computer is back in action, now with a Corsair HX650W powering it, a lot more then the present computer needs, and hopefully enough if I decide to upgrade it.
Did try the speed test, I’m not sure if the low down speed is due to HD that recieves the data is slow or what. Reran the test and got better down speed (was 45+ before).

Well, I think I’ve got a fairly good grip on how distance makes the speeds differ, ping is the first casualty, not really surprising as each packet will have to make more hops. Then comes the speed itself, pretty noticeable on the way over to USA.
