B777 Conversion complete!

Check!

Done and type rating number 6 in hand. I had a good and fun course these past 6 weeks. Training was minimal but actually quite good. Cathay Pacific is notorious for being a “checking” only airline. But it seems we have now joined the 21st century and are actually instructing.

I have now finally made the decision to move to Hong Kong. I’ve been considering this a few years now and will make the move in July. So I will be away from the virtual flight line and training for the summer. I will be back as soon as I have settled in HK. I now have to figure out how to move my gaming PC to HK. Any ideas? Anyone?

you better figure out how to start flying Rise of Flight

Congrats and well done Apollo. Good luck with the move mate.

Is there not any space in the 777’s cargo hold for all your kit

Congrats man, sorry you won’t be online for a while, but all the best in what sounds like a great opportunity for you and your family.

Salute for the well executed conversion! And best of luck with your future in HK!

Well done Apollo! you’re always the best!:w00t:

Congrats Apollo.

Dont take too long, your Air Force needs you!

Congrats Apollo!
Well done!!!

as for the PC isn’t easier to sell the old one and buy a new one in HK? As far as i know consumer elechtronic is much cheaper over there?

B777…this gives me an idea!

Hit the autopilot button, drag your pc from under your seat then fly with us online, Im sure you can do this in a B777

Well done Apollo and good luck with the move to Hong Kong!

…Make sure you get a good internet Connection…

Sorry for my late congratulations Apollo!
Quote Jimmy: sell the old one and buy the latest top!

It’s not that old! I also have deep feeling for my PC. I also need to bring my HOTAS. I’ll just see what I end up doing. I hate moving. Just feels like yesterday we moved from the USA to Sweden. The reason I took this damn job, was so we could live in Sweden, lol.
Life is mysterious. Never know what is going to happen next.

Thanks for all the best wishes guys. I sure do not miss the 747. The triple seven is so much nicer. Clean, devoid of dust. Smells like a new car. Flies really nice. Everything works! Lol. The crew rest is fantastic! We got our own little room, with beds and a lounge chair to watch movies in. Just amazing!

I think you’re on to something here Charlie. I’m sure there is a way to hook this up in the crew rest area! :roflmao:

Well done Apollo. Good luck to you and your family in HK.

WB.

With a +8hr time difference you can fly with us before you head off to work

Another form of morning-workout!

Best of luck Erik  Yeah, you never know where life will take you. The only sure thing in life is that you will always belong to the EAF

Keep us informed, we will find you some paperwork to do for OTU in those long flights

That all sounds impressive Apollo.
Congratulations… and good luck with your move to HK.
Until then hopefully on TS!

Tillykke Apollo

Apollo only one question, but that armament has a B777? 30mm. cannon, missiles, bombs?

Congratulations and if you ever fly with Cathay, I will ask you!
