Whats the current antivirus software you guys use?
I’ve used Avast for years but since the latest program updates its really knocked the performance of my PC particularly the bootup times so I’m in search of a new ‘lean and mean’ anti virus solution, of course a free one as well 
So whats everyone using at the moment?

and i bought a business version of ESET for work…
both seems to work well

Never used antivirus, only the free Microsoft Security Essentials for windows 7.
Never had any problem.
If you are behind a router and are sensible where you go on tinterweb and which programs you run, then you can get away without.
After many years of use, AVG started being big & clumsy like the others, lately.
Installing BitDefender (the freeware version) on new PCs and laptops with satisfaction, up to now.
BitDefender has recently been awarded as best 2014 antivirus.
It may have only one drawback: it’s ITALIAN…:afro:

Advanced System Care.
It is mainly a bundle of both antivirus and cleaning applications like CC cleaner. So every morning I scan and clean my PC, defrag drives, sweep the registry etc in a single command and it takes about 1-2 minutes.
Plus it has antivirus but I have been lucky to never be exposed of one. 
I think the Ultimate version, which I have, is regularly on discount.
