Announcing:EAF Top Fighter Element Competition

I just had two splendid CAP sorties on Finish Airwar today.
As most of you know, I am usually sneaking around close to the ground targets.
As usual Axis side had a hard time seeing the big picture and my play time had a hard limit, so Apollo and I jumped into a couple of 190A3’s.
We had two targets to CAP.
As we came in over our second target area a bandit dove through the cloud to bounce me, In the middle of his attack he reversed. I am quite sure that was when he saw Apollo.
But that was to late for him. A snapshot from Apollo ripped the bandit apart.

A few minutes later on that sortie we found two 109 engaged with a bandit. It seemed to us that it was taking to long so we ended out helping out by depleting the bandits energy.
(I can’t remember if Apollo shot him down).

On our second sortie we rescued a 109 from a La5.

All of this by using strict discipline, energy fighting, the team tactics which we have tough and a lot of communication.

I was in a quite high spirit afterwards.
It is not that often at we do this.

Yeah, it was lots of fun.
Nice when it works out. Too bad that your wingman(moi), had to collide with the last guy we were about to bracket.

Besides that, the teamwork was solid. I must say that it’s difficult to keep SA high with so many planes in close proximity. But call outs of heading,climbing/descending makes it easier. Good job Boss.

It wasn’t me who shot that Yak down who was brawling with the 109’s. But you forgot about the Spitty you dragged high, that was deprived of a wing when he was suspended in mid air at the top of his climb.

Hello Gents.

The new year is here and hopefully all has calmed down in your lives by now.

Moving forward with the competition, I would like all the teams to enter the names of your team and the pilots.
Please post this info in the TFEC sign-up thread.

The plane is to start the competition last week of FEB and continue into March.

Gentlemen start your engines and get ready to RUMBLE!

“start the competition last week of FEB and continue into March.”

Excellent!
