While looking for the cheapest way to get a new TIR 5 unit I came across this.
VRI 125
Looks to be a good/much cheaper alternative to TIR. As cheap as setting up a freelook nearly.

Good find Brigstock, I wonder if it works with IL2? Could be a great alternative for those on a budget - and for that matter if it works just as well I would be tempted to buy one for my second PC rig
I’m assuming that games enable mouse emulation rather than just enable TIR support. So it should work with anything TIR doesafter all Freelook works with IL2.
I checked out VRInsight as a company and they make high end PC flightsim gear for the commercial flight fans. They look a solid outfit capable of making quality products. Things like PC Boeing panels for £1,500 etc. The Tracking device is just a little something they’ve knocked up to compliment their range of expensive kit.

What I like most, and I wish they’d sell it seperately, is the VectorClip. It looks like is a self powered LED unit running off a watch battery. Much neater than the natural point version and on first look, a lot sturdier. My clip has a broken mounting and now is held in place with cable ties. I remember when I first got it for £30+ I thought it was very poorly designed and thought it massively over priced.
Very interesting product Brigstock.
Any indication on IL2 compatibility ?
( I have a TIR 1 and the 6dof of the Hat-Track is very tempting )
Colin
EDIT: from what i read online. compatibility of Hat-Track at this time is limited to Microsoft Flightsims.
