We had our first three ship on the ACG Cold War server this evening. Started relatively well, though we didn’t find ground targets we did find Mig-21s and shot down two. We then lost aircraft to SAMs.
Second sortie didn’t go quite so well. We found ground targets and took them out. We later discovered that they were friendly tanks! Then we got shot down by SAMs. They must have been IR guided as we had no warning of their launch. We’re learning, but it’s a steep curve after so long in WW2!
Really good to see EAF on Cold War Server. I hope I did not shoot one of you chaps down as you were going to hit the airfield, it was a Harrier?

Errr…I was shot down by someone! I was in a Harrier! Oh well! I shot down a friendly last week, so I can’t complain! :roflmao:
We’re starting to branch out on to the server a bit more as we’re getting the hang of the Harrier. I think a combination of Harrier and F/A-81 will be pretty lethal (but the F/A-18 won’t be on the Cold War server!)
That’s the reason I like the CW Server one of the few servers that run proper East Vs West aircraft. This is the reason I usually fly Red as Blue is always in abundance and like to even up the teams, also get needed stick time on the Mig 21.
