A-10C Multiple weapon drops in one pass

Hi all,
For those of you that have the A-10C this might be handy, if you don’t already know how to do it (I could be the last to find out!)

1.) Set laser to “latch” mode in the TGP (Targeting Pod)
2.) Designate target 1 with Laser and press TMS (Target Management Switch) short right
3.) Designate all other targets in the same manner
4.) Look at the CDU panel (don’t know what CDU stands for, but it’s the navigation computer) there is a switch for steerpoint or mark point. Right click once to Mark Point.
5.) Use the steerpoint button on the panel below the HUD (the far left button - looks like the volume control on a TV remote) to switch between Mark Points.
6.) Select weapon - JDAM or AGM-65 Maverick
7.) Select markpoint one, fire weapons
8.) Select markpoint two, fire weapons
9.) Select markpoint three, fire weapons
10.) Select markpoint four, fire weapons etc.

Doing this means that you don’t have to hang around and orbit to drop each weapon, or it means that you can blast a column with Mavericks in one pass. Hanging around is asking for trouble. Still need to learn how to designate targets for other aircraft though, once I know how to do this I will post it up as well. That way those with the A-10C can designate targets for the Mirage 2000C and the F-5E (which can not designate targets for themselves). Tha Harrier will be able to designate targets and so will the F/A-18, don’t know if any of you intend to buy these though.

OD

I’ve had a go at this in the past OD, but not been very successful at it… there’s some good vids on utube.
Also haven’t flown the A10 for a while, been concentrating on the Spit instead, but variety is the spice of life, so they say

Stevie

I found it harder with the AGM-65 but dead easy with the JDAMs. Was able to take out targets in quick succession with the JDAM. Just have to hope the targets don’t move with a JDAM!

Headache!!!:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Joking!
Don’t have the a10 but maybe one day i’ll try it!
But first i have 70 pages of Macchi Manual to read!
(and then the dcs spit manual!)

It takes seconds in reality  especially if you have the Warthog stick
