fire in the hole!

I know this game, and I quite like the idea but its very difficult gameplay and kind of poor graphics… and most important part (why I dont play it) is that you have to pay each month or something like that, am I right?

Would be fun though to play with lot of people from EAF and organize a good attack…

yes you must pay for play wold be fun a massive EGF

yeah, I agree on that… or continue in air :stuck_out_tongue:

When you say hard gameplay, you mean its hard due to the people, realism or maybe arcade? Is there any massive realism in the game at all?

dunno I havent try it|

I tried once to drive a tank… it wasnt simply the main keys in most games; A,S,D,W I couldnt get it driving, you also need a gunner, a driver and a commander. I also was once on a ship… you cant aim your gun, you need to get coordinates from the captain… (you as gunner will never see the target itself) so its quite realistic but difficult… I also could be wrong but it was a game similar to this one, maybe this is easier…

It is WWII Online, and yes I remember testing it at a friend and couldn’t even start the tank LOL.

I really hope it is as you say actually…this encourages teamwork and not one man armies. Realism or not I love the advanced roles every vehicle needs.

I would try the trial, but then many others should do the same at the same time so we could play together the small time we have free!

yes, that would be great, but there is one little problem for me, they need a creditcard and I dont have one :frowning:

waitning new pc and ill try dunno when arrive because had problem

The realism is very good. As with any games it has its down sides.

I have played it a lot, Cassador does currently I think.

The graphics are quite poor but the gameplay more than makes up for it when you’re in a squad.

It is quite hard when you first start, you will be having rifle fights with a few pixels sometimes - it’s excellent

If you search the forum for WWII Online you should find a previous post of mine with some pics etc.

This is an old vid, the campaigns are in the 40s now so bear in mind gfx will have improved.

Look fantastic, I don’t care about the graphics!

Pity it costs after purchase!!!

The guys who write and run it are a small independent development company. They don’t have a big publisher or anything like that.

They need the monthly fees coming in to survive, it really doesn’t cost that much and if you want to take a break you can happily suspend the subscription without losing your character’s rank etc.

Give it a shot, if you don’t like it you can always buy a month here or there when you fancy a fix.

One thing I need to make absolutely clear about it though. You MUST get involved with an active squad for it to be fun!

Oh, don’t pay any attention to the He111s doing loops  The air game needs some work in my opinion

I downloaded the game,

but you need to create an account and pay for the game then?

oh poor us now EAF emigrate LOL

Thanks for the info Insight, I may buy it but then again I would wish more EAFe’rs would join too. I dont have enough time to dedicate me to a squad, I am already busy in an ArmA squad and I want to get back with IL2 and EAF as well:)

tanks damafe model is interestint look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp6U43cHkZk&feature=related

That was over a year ago, they will probably have done something about it by now.

Also, nearly all of those techniques involve climbing ON the tank, if the tank moves at all when you do that, you die. Also, if the tanker is worth his salt he will be in a group of tanks / with infantry to cover them.

WWIIOL is all about team work, not lone wolfing

I played a lot as a sapper, and whilst sneaking about on my own was in constant contact with other ground forces to steer me to tanks they couldn’t hit and get heads up on dangers to me.

Then when you find your tank, you have to look around - is anything covering him? Ah yes, a tank another 300m behind him, need to kill that one first then, he has infantry covering him too, mark them on the map and call in the Havoc to the tank to see if he can save me the walk etc…

It’s v involving but will swallow hours of your time

I haven’t had time to play in ages!

Sounds awesome, Insight. I would be glad to test out the free trial, you may have time to show me the ropes?

Very interesting footage of what seems as a very advanced damage model!

I really hope it is as clever as it looks!
