The beta starts very soon
No one mention the glorious Desert Fighters which even got as far as a downloadable demo before it morphed into vapourware
I wish I hadn’t mentioned that now but- face your fears

Keep the Faith there Mingster.
They have secured a Russian Publisher and are all set to release to the motherland. They just need to get a western deal sorted. If that doesn’t happen we always have Babel to help us get through the russian menus

Yes, I am looking forward to it too.
Been a bit tired of having to run IL2 on low res for spotting reasons on a system that easily handles 1920x1200.
Although IL2 has got a new burst of life and fun with the MODs.

And Fokkers
It’s just getting better and better

The devs still think we will see this sim on our PC’s Q2 this year
I do hope so
Can’t we appeal to VikS for hires YouTube clips? Greyed-out what’s up with that, you’d think they’d be desperate to show that amazing stuff off…
We’re going to need a clipboard

The more they show us the more I want it
The physics of the FM/DM and lighting effects look fantastic, cockpit animations add a very satifyingly real element to it too.
Oleg Maddox could learn a lot from NEOQB.
It certainly does look visualy stunning… the clips that keep surfacing just seem to improve the look of it each time…
There seems to be alot of interest in this game, and as you said Brigs, there are people dying with impatience for this thing to be released…
However, as we stand at the moment, does anyone know if any forward planning has been done to see how this will impact on the EAF?
Will it be incorporated into our usual squad nights, and if so, what about members who have no interest in WWI?
If it is to become part of our usual squad nights, who will buy it etc?..
We were talking about this the other night. I can’t see that it will impact the EAF. We are an Il2 community and the future for the EAF is in S.O.W.
However it is worth remembering that the EAF was formed before IL2 and used to support a few different WWII Sims. There are a few WWI heads in here, me included, but the majority are WWII fans.
Also there have been a plethora of games over the years that have been a diversion for us to play when not in IL2. Red Orchestra and ArmA springs to mind.
I can’t see there being any conflict of interest
I’m not lovers of WW1 plane but I want try it
At least we get the change to fly Fokkers…YES
We are WW2 based, but depending on timetables of releases, RoF/WW1 might have a place in the spotligt, for a while. But once BoB (or whatever the name will be) is out, I think that will be the main thing.
I’d like to try RoF, I’m not all that interested in WW1 flying, but it can be fun to try.
