…downloading (via torrent…1week and 5 days to go:bootyshk:)
I think it wont run very well on my pc but lets try it
Edit: Getting much better now as more people join, download 300kb/s - upload 50Kb/s
Its installed and it runs very well
I encounter one big problem. Everytime when I follw enemy down to the deck the engine of my Spad dies. What is the cause? I pull power back wehn diving trying not to get my engine too fast but it still happens.
Next question, is it possible to set up an “gunsightview” ? Its really hard to aim with 6DOF in a dogfight. Otherwise I have to train it abit more, but only 2 days of the demo left
Edit: I overlooked the radiator, maybe the engine is just running too hot …
I am really impressed how good this sim runs. Well its only 1vs1 but still at very good FPS with everything on medium except shadoes, reflections and textures on high.
Had my first kills in 1 vs. 1 right now. A Fokker once got at my six damaging my left wing-structure. I accidently dropped away from Reims and suddenly just few meters beside me a flak-shell explodes, I actually hopped in my chair :roflmao: wow I really love the sound.
I was climbing and put my mixture down a bit, but then too much and my engine died. Tried to get it running again in the air, no luck. But I managed to land and after a few tries the engine was running again. puhh
No problem to take off again I thought. I had enough speed and pulled my stick back and I already got some meters up in the air, when my left (damaged) wing collapsed and I fell back to the ground again
Wow, I must say . Just from a few minutes I am really pleased with the feeling of the FM, the DM, the sound and except for some odd looking things the overall physics look really nice.
Yes it is engine management Paf but I do not know exactly how to use it properly yet (still setting comfortable and memorable keymaps, not being adventurous)
Isn’t the sound gorgeous, the wind whistling in the wires, the Aeolian music
Oh and that horrible scary sound as the canvas flips and then flutters when the airflow is not good, compromised before getting into a stall
Pancake in No-Man’s Land and sit and listen to the battlefield sounds, very good

Btw Paf the engine may fail randomly in full real mode, not too many times but maybe 2 or 3 times in 40 takeoffs, at 50ft and 120km/h
So be prepared, there is no escape but to drop out of the sky like the brick
(and for our brave pilots in the real show)
