Seems a lot of the great ones is leaving us. 
Jeff Cooper
May 10, 1920 - September 26, 2006At the request of the family it is our sad duty to report the passing of Jeff Cooper, this afternoon, September 25, 2006. Jeff died peacefully at home this afternoon while being cared for by his wife Janelle and daughter Lindy.
There will be a private internment at Gunsite by invitation only, with a public memorial service at the Whittington Center at a date to be announced. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
I don’t expect a lot of you know who he was, unless you’re into shooting, but he have been called the father of modern pistol shooting, and the Guru (for me he was).
