Recruitment request

Hello,

Still quite new to the whole IL2 thing but after a few weeks of honing my skills i feel im ready to join a squad to which i stumbled across your website.

Ive spoken with cookie on hyper lobby and he informed me my best course of action was to register with your forums and introduce myself, so here iam :bootyshk:

Iam located just outside of Glasgow in Scotland that would be EK to you 602 boys  Iam 31 although i would say i look 21 just without the hair lol. Ive been flying full sim for the past few weeks and feel im slowly getting the hang of it, im sure with some advice from you boys i could come on leaps and bounds.

I hope my recruitment is successfull, any feedback will be appreciated.

Cheers, Smit.

Glasgow…definite 602 material

Welcome aboard old chap

Hi Smit, and welcome!

Hey, I spent a few years in EK, but managed to escape

Hope to see you in a few missions with us. Just join any missions that anyone in EAF is flying, not just EAF602, and just say that you are thinking of joining and you will be made welcome.

We fly a mixture of versions, some on 4.08 and some on modded 4.09 so it will help if you can have a copy of of each so you can join.

Looking forward to flying with you.

I have been trying to escape EK myself, my parents moved down to the west coast a good few years back and ive been trying to persuade the mrs to go down join them, to no avail :frowning:

I have AAA installed so switching mods is no problem.

What is my next course of action? How do i go about getting enroled and what requirements have i to fulfill.

Cheers.

Check out the “Join Now” link on the home page.

Basically, just try to get in a few dogfights or coops with anyone from EAF. Once we get to know you and you get to know us, then you will be contacted by someone from OTU about the next steps.

Ok i will do, cheers.

EB = excused boots so EK could be excused kilt? I’m guessing here given the context

Welcome to the EAF Smit!

Brigstock has posted the required mod files for the Air War Italy campaign (this includes the BoB map) and is mostly used by 602, 92, 331 and 51:
http://www.europeanaf.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14167

19 mostly use UI1.1

310 and 322 are always on vanilla 4.08, and the rest of us fly vanilla too when needs be.

A few reinstalls later all seems to up and running. Is there anyway to implement AAA into jgme without it messing everything up?

“Took advice from Cookie” eh?..theres always one :roflmao:
Glad to see you made it to our forum Smit…Welcome Aboard

…even beyond the approachable neighbourhood, eventually…

Hi Smit, sorry we missed you last night. All the sessions we were flying were public and you would have been welcome to join, if you had the AWI mod pack installed?

I don’t know how to integrate that with the AAA pack and JGSME, sorry. I just keep seperate installations, one for 4.08, one for AWI and one with a whole lot of fun mods that I don’t fly online with due to imcompatibilities.

I know that way works!

However, some guys do use the JGSME to switch.

Hope to catch you Thu. I’ll make sure that any servers I host have in the description the version, and if it is “all welcome” and that means what it says.

Greetings all,

I too am new to all this but have joined in the fun! I had the good fortune to meet up with Swoop at a bar and after a few bevvies discovered our mutual interest in aviation and beer!

I have managed to join in online a few times now and flew with Swoop on Mon night just gone - he said I was not awful which is a compliment of sorts.

Anyway, although I work shifts I am really wanting to join a Squadron and you guys have been so welcoming, it would be rude not to ask to be allowed to join in.

Looking forward to meeting more of you guys online in due course.

Regards

Jonah aka JEJ!

p.s - looking forward to being taught how to fly!

Jonah (JEJ), fill in the form mate and get the ball rolling

Hey Rich and welcome and well done in finding your way here. As an ex submariner you’ll probably be use to the smell in the barracks, the jokes are just as bad

I’ll talk you through the joining process further on Thursday, otherwise I’ll email you.

Bleedin Submariner, 'kin ell Troops, they let a Donkey Wolloper in and it goes down from there…

lol!.. Hello to the new lads… (by the way… is that something on your heel??) :wink2:

a l’eau, c’est l’heure !
