Just test-flown the heavily renovated PC. Everything is working! I can play Il-2 again!! Just had to replace the graphics card, motherboard, CPU, PSU, operating system, monitor and rudder pedals!
Just need to get back into practice after a year spent doing things which patently aren’t Il-2. The powers that be have me working 1400-2200 all next week, so I’ll be practicing offline and maybe on some pub servers, but hopefully be flying with you guys again the following week!

Top tip… get your arse modded up…
Hi Dozer good to see you mate, yes please look to getting a modded version of 4.08m clean installed - separate from your base 1946 install if Mod Switchers do your head in - then mod that version up to Il-2 War ready status. Try to leave your working install alone if you can, it can all go howwibly wrong
There’s also a Scorched Earth massively-modded Slovakia campaign about to kick off and that might be interesting to you too. 10GB install that is, are you still on the 486? And question two do you even know what a 486 is (he will, trust me on this)

Should I be so lucky to have a 486 - I began simming with Flight Simulator 3 and Rowan’s Dawn Patrol on a 386. Setting the graphics to ‘486’ (so you get a pretty yellow-orange bloom instead of black and white circles when something explodes) would kill the FPS…

Got me started too Dan, flying with my own flying circus and trying to get up Sun of the Tommy.
Dozer, let us know when you’re about so we can sort out a training slot. Currently Cookie and Magpie are coming along very well and have nearly finished the training program, especially now we have another active T/O in Kris. Turn up around 8ish (Mondays/Thursdays) to get in and train with an IL2War mission for 9ish.
