Dear IL2 mod users and makers.

It has come to my attention that your posts are getting removed on a certain forums because their policy does not allow them to allow them to allow showing posts about sites that they have no working relations with. They think that UP has forbidden them to use MDS mod and because of that, they don’t allow posts about UP to be displayed there.

I have brought this up publicly because I want to warn all modders that are thinking of publishing mods on that site to think once more. It is my understanding from their actions that they claim copyright over all mods that are published there. I understand it like that because of their reaction when they delete all UP topics and posts. Since MDS is my creation and I don’t want to be related to that site in any way because of their past actions, I will never allow them to use my mods. Also, since it was/is totally my free time that goes in the development of MDS it would be utmost stupid of me to allow them to use it after everything I had to go through there. Last thing, that kind of actions just confirm that I was right back then to ban them from MDS. The catch however is that they think that UP has copyright over MDS. Wrong. UP has no copyright over it, I as the author of it have that privilege. And UP was always kind and very helpful and never offensive to me even when I had no clue on how to do anything related to IL2 but wanted to do some changes so they have my approval to use MDS. They are even kind enough to host MDS dedicated subforum!

So, please, pay attention on what you post/share where. And rest assured, your mods posted here will not be copyrighted by UP.

i totally agree
to be honest everyone invited this team to the party since the day one
(when i say everyone i’m talking about a really wider range of people invited join their forces for have a standardized modpackage as mutual purpose)
unfortunately its the only one team who refused to join with others: their fair/democratic choice not to get ivolved with other teams if no leadership wuold have been granted them
it seems to me really far from a democratic way of doing… in the meanwhile they filled their mouth and your hears with unification words they never have been seriously involved with
