Got a G-15 ver 2 this xmas… looks very groovy with its soft orange backlighting… Now, has anyone got any tips on how the display can be used with IL2, teamspeak etc… :smiley:

First of all install the software.
Second try to think which are the commands you are using more frequently.

One of the benefit of the G15 is that you have 3 sets of programmed command (M1 - M2 - M3) that you can adapt to different situations. i.e. M1 for fighters, M2 for bombers, M3 for air carrier additional commands needed (open/clos cockpit, seat , chocks, wing folding, etc.). You can also program some macro composed by a sequence of keys (i.e. Vector Home)

Additionally you can printout some skins to label your G15, in order to rememeber how you programmed it.

I am giving herewith after some indications about the way I programmed it.
Pls. consider I am using a Saitek HOTAS + CH Pro Pedal rudder control, so I programmed most of the IL-2 key commands on the HOTAS itself: all engine, avionics and and comms command on the trottles (i.e. radiator, flaps, engine switch on/off, engine selections, pitch and trims, radio talk button, etc.) all combat commands on stick (i.e. guns, baiout, Track IR commands on hat switch button, bailout).

As a consequence this is my programming set on my G15.

Look for Logitech G15 forums: you will get a lot of ideas.There is also a nice plugin to be used with TS, that allow you to see on the LCD screen who is talking.

Got the teamspeak utility installed… very neat. I can see how many people are on my channel, It identifiys anyone speaking, it allows me to mute my microphone, or output at the push of a button on the display window… :smiley:
