It works
Hello Nepe,
What type and size is that monitor? Did you use a ready script by someone else? Can you rearrange, replace the gauges and/or background as to make it look like a(ny) real cockpit?
Greetings,
Bob
Main monitor is a 22, the small one is an iPad. You can select which dials to show and increase the size. Not sure about rearranging positions, but I think I did it, yes. No scripts, just an exe program and the one to use the iPad as second screen. Other cockpits, not yet, this are from a Spit but should work with other aircraft too.
Nice Nepe.
I was looking at Air Display a few weels ago for exactly what you’ve done.
My wife has a IPad 1 that I could “borrow” when I play CoD.
I am also looking at some small usb touch screens 7" or 10"
AFAIK the screen is configurable via some config files that are included in the download.
You can change the position and colours used for each component displayed, very configurable if I remember rightly from when I tested it not long ago.
Nepe,
Is Air Display the Ipad program? I found the website and the android app. Nexus 7 here, but bad Wifi-reception at 7 meters from the Wifi router (bad one). No walls, except fot the mantlepiece (schoorsteen). Doubt it will work on wifi.
How do I turn on the Device Link it self. Like the old one in IL-2? Is there a how to?
Brigstock,
Can you point at the USB-displays, so I get an impression.
Yes Bob Airdisplay (now it’s out version 2 but me and Nepe are using version1 for ipad)
ihad a problem server side and support was fast, and before i was able to log the problem for them a new version went out that solved the problem… So the app is good and well supported…
as for the wifi mine is close to the pc and monitor so no issues…
How do I turn on the Device Link it self. Like the old one in IL-2? Is there a how to?
It’s easier than in IL-2. No files to edit, just launch AirDisplay and launch the VirtualCockpit.exe
OT how do i set it up for IL2??? wich program do you use???
Bob
This is one I have been looking at
I’m also considering a small monitor.
The main issue is space
Jimmi,
if you are really talking about IL-2 1946 it is like this:

Only offline
There are some other UDP-driven programs. UDP is the protocol by which the information is sent to the second computer (or screen?).

Brigstock,
Away with the wifi. Direct connection. I see.
Nepe,
I now understand that IL-2 CLOD must be running for VC. Air Display does not work here because of the wifi. Both computer and tablet were slowing down. Removed Air Display. Hmm, loaning an ancient tft display at the computerworkshop maybe?
