Isn’t that cobra maneuver an “anti air missile maneuver”? they do such thing to avoid missiles?
Or when dogfight still was done with jets, it was a maneuver to get the enemy to overshoot etc.?
I think is used for hig angle of attack for fire helmet IR guided missile from mig 29 because you have some second for aim and fire it and reduce the energy need for turn a missile because it do short way
