Benchmarking kit

Does anyone know how to run 3DMark Vantage in a window please?

Or how to see Core Temp’s display while running a full-screen test or find the logging file? I have a G15 keyboard that can display my GPU temperature

I want to monitor my CPUs’ temperature while running a full-screen OGL or D3D benchmark, that’s the thing

Speedfan should let you log it to a text file for later checking, if that helps?

Ming are you still on the same Asus A8N SLI Deluxe mobo that I have in my rig here? Or a similar Asus board? If so, you may have (or can get) the Asus Probe utility that shipped with it and runs memory resident in the system tray. Although it won’t necessarily be visible during your tests, you can open the utility, select Monitoring > History > [set parameters] > Start Recording and create a graphical record which you can view after your tests.

EDIT Just re-read your post, not sure if you want CPU, GPU or both. AsusProbe will give CPU and Motherboard temperatures plus fan activity, but as far as I know won’t accept or display GPU data

Thanks both

PeeGee I’m on an EVGA 680i SLI motherboard and using er, I’ll pop the name in later - it measures temperature over a period and shows the maximum and minimum temperature. So I can see what temperature the CPU got to over a fullscreen benchmarking run, nearest I’m going to get I think

I’ve finished my cooling work now and getting the new graphics card Monday

I’ve got the CPU (Core 2 Duo E6700) up to 3.33GHz from stock 2.66GHz and (so far touch wood) solid as a rock. Akasa CPU fan/heatsink, very nice. Front and back panel 120mm fans installed, Akasa silent versions. Which has saved me getting a CPU upgrade hence the BFG GTX285 OC upgrade looked good, I actually saved her money!

RealTemp that’s it
