I wish I could join this one, but I’m signed up for the SEOW.
I’ve been flying around, trimming out the different planes and I now finally have a good feeling in the controls. It sure took a while. I really like the response curves in this game. Once you understand how it works, it allows for very nice fine tuning compared to IL2.
I find that I like the “in-line” engined aircraft nicer to fly since there isn’t as much gyroscopic effects and torque as with the Radials. The Albatross D III and IV are great. Just flew the Fokker D7 yesterday and it was great in the vertical. The SE5 is nice and stable as well.
But I must say that my favourite radial is the PUP!! It handles very nice. The DR1 is crap in my hands. Don’t like the Camel as I can’t see anything over the wing… I would think that the Dolphin would have good visibility. Has anyone tried it?
If I get myself killed early in the SEOW, then I will drop down on TS and try to join you gents online in ROF.

Not strictly true, if you buy the weapon mod for the Camel ($1.50 I think) you can have a cut out in the top wing (See link)
It is ironic, to have to pay to have something removed from your plane instead of added
Personally I love the Camel, it is a bit twitchy. I’m looking forward to seeing Whiskey in his first mission with his new toy :laugh:

Camel viz is about average for me. Now if you want a panoramic view, a Dolphin is the way to go…
A Pup for me, please. A fire-proof, one if possible.
I found the wing cut out mod really helps with the viz with the camel - just it affects your lift I’m told. Still very new to the Camel and she feels heavy compared to the nimble Pup, but those twin guns are nice

I got my fifth kill at last and headed back towards our lines with wincester Keets. Splash saw more of the Hun and signalled Marsh and me to follow…“your Internet connection has stopped working”…BT is the new Hun in the Sun!!
We saw… but it hasn’t affected your stats.
5 kills makes you an Ace and a MC holder
I see you’ve updated the stats, however I definitely got 3 kills. 1st was in the initial engagement. 2nd was the leader in the initial engagement that Swoop and Splash were above me for. The 3rd was in the second group that attacked and I would have had a 4th had the looney AI Spads not forced me off the target which was nearly down. In all cases I saw the a/c go in/die.
I take it you want to follow the stats produced, but they’re not 100% and in this case, they’re inaccurate.
Right, tone down the bloody archie low down, thats is now the third ferkin time I have been nailed, I was changing height, changing speed and also weaving and they still ferkin found me!!! They certainly didn’t have archie at 500ft, guns couldn’t depress that low
I’m going by the RoF stats. It had you down as 2 kills and, for a change, PWCG also had you down as 2 kills.
Your third must have been hit by an AI before it went in.
Well unless the AI or other attacking a/c were invisible, then there is no way that could have happened, because I was with them when they went in.
Fair do’s mate, it’s your campaign you run it how you like, I’m flagging up that the in game stats are inaccurate. It’s the same that it reports Swoop as captured yet we know he disco’d.
