After the First World War the Austria-Hungaria Emipre was divided to many independent states. And one them was Czechoslovakia. During the Second World War Czechoslovakia stoped exist. On it's place were created two states - "Protectorate Böhmen und Mähren" and theoretically independent ally of Hitler's Germany fascistic Slovakia. Also the part of Czech part of former Czechoslovakia was added to Germany base on France, Great Britain, Italia , Germany agreement from Munich 1938. So mostly the Slovak pilots counted shoots of Soviet planes. Yes not all of them were flying for Slovakia but it was small number.Only it is simple clarification because it is more complicated.

And from 1992 we are againg Czech Republic and Slovak Republic but it is other question.

    EDIT:typos

I am sorry. I was thinking where did you find this sentence and I forgot to say :
    Serdecznie dziękujem wszystkim. (Polski)
    Srdečně děkuji všem. (Česky)
    Srdečne ďakujem všetkým. (Slovensky)
Thank you all heartily. (English, I hope...)
    AND
    Tante grazie!
