Thread: Thanks for the PAX

    Default Thanks for the PAX

EDIT: firstly sorry about the title, should read

    Thanks for the MDS Pax

Thank you very much for allowing 602 to participate in your MDS last night, highly enjoyable.

Couple of things i noticed though, there was much firing from well beyond effective gunnery range.

You can keep an eye on this using the command in the shift tab console.

    user STAT

This must be done whilst players are in game otherwise their total fired and air hits are lost. ( though it might be preserved in ntrk if taken)

Having total fired and air hits makes it simple to calculate a pilots gun hit %.
Valuable tool if you desire to increase your gunnery effectiveness chaps.

I also wondered a bit at what level the AI planes were set, as this effects defensive gunner performance, last night, it just seemed a little too easy when compared to what i have observed in df servers and war scenario's.

thks for host even if i've been there a only little

initially scared when i didn't see an Axis base for us
then i said myself: by this way i won't be the only target

I looked at the mission and saw that most planes were veteran, but some were average. All to veteran at least. For fun and surprise we should introduce some aces. I even got away with some kills without slashing attacks. Not so with a death ray gunner in front and Adolf Galland behind.

You could always limit the number of lives and lengthen the timeout after death. I hope that will inspire me to land better.

Nice idea Bob, refuel, rearm and repair would be usefull in such a scenario.

    never mind Pax

    i'm asking just because nosy

    for enable a crt=2 session
edit the conf.ini file, adding the [net] checkRuntime=2 parameter ( conf file is case sensitive )

adds a filter for deny people who is running a different runtime join to your session

    (crt=0 : no filter; crt=1 : soft filer; crt=2 HC filer )

    Radar, a question for you.

I am trying to build a mission with some home bases with only airspawn. I took a test runway object in the category stationary ships of the Full Mission Builder. Then I put a Home Base on the same spot. And set it to airspawn only.

I do spawn in the air, but it is like spawning on the test runway on the ground: the chocks are in. But the chocks cannot be taken away. I can refuel, rearm and repair in mid air but the plane won't move a centimeter.

Any solutions? I think that I need a normal airfield object instead of stationary ship object.
